Five Fabulous Chairs To Rest Your Rump On

Whether it's for putting on make up, catching up on some reading, or having a cuppa, a chair is a great way to make a statement. A good sturdy chair can not only be used to rest your weary high heeled legs, but it can also add colour and texture to either a bedroom, study or lounge.

Every Disney loving guy or gal needs this Art Deco style, shell shaped chair in their lives. Combing your hair with a fork, surrounded by gadgets and gizmos aplenty, your inner Ariel needs to be hidden no longer! Luxury can be found in these sea coloured deep turquoise velvet and shimmering gold legs (Oh how Ariel would be so jealous of those legs!).

A pop of pink, sparkle or purple to go with the blue of this chair would definitely add a bit of fun and would certainly create some mermaid magic. However, if full on pinks and glitter aren't your thing, a sophisticated and cultured way of bringing in the pink could be with this abstract piece by Two Faced Twins called 'Hidden'.

Not only can you feel like you are shooting a hit Hollywood film, you can do it whilst literally sitting on cloud nine! The aptly named cloud directors chair from Sweetpea and Willow is made from white Mongolian sheep fur and finished with polished gold arms and legs.

As if I didn't already love the taste of the rainbow, I love it even more now that it comes in chair form! John Lewis have on offer a Skye Midnight Speckle armchair with contrasting multicoloured skittle buttoning. It's a fun, vibrant twist on the traditional country house, pipe smoking and slipper wearing, type chair.

Love is in the air and is all you need with this heart shaped chair. Coming in many colours, including the classic heart red, this lovely chair would be a stunning statement in the home. Complimentary colours to the red chair would be a lovely orange, purple or green and can be integrated within the accessories of the room.

Chaise Lounge

If you're feeling extra luxurious and think you need to be resting in a pose, ready to be fed grapes at any minute, this chaise lounge will be more your bag. In a sumptuous forest green, with gold tipped feet, this chaise is just waiting to be flopped upon and would create a tranquil haven, twinned with shades of taupe or dusky pinks.
